A Year of Projects to Save Food Biodiversity
The Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity's Social Report for 2009 has now been published. Available in Italian and English, it not only summarizes the facts and figures for the year, but also describes individual projects, their environmental and social impact.

With a focus on the results achieved by the Presidia, Earth Markets and the Ark of Taste, it identifies the contribution from producer communities, and reports on training (exchanges, seminars, producer manuals) and product promotion activities (events, taste workshops etc.). It describes the instruments used for communication and raising awareness (documentaries, photographic missions, websites, publications, conferences etc.), and presents direct testimony from some of the many key figures and friends of the Slow Food Foundation: producers, cooks, students, technical experts, academics, journalists and supporters.

The Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity's Social Report for 2009 can be downloaded in electronic format from www.fondazioneslowfood.com.
