A handbook for small-scale coffee producers in Central America
Small-scale coffee producers from Central America now have an additional tool to improve the quality of their production. Among the activities of the Café y Caffè project, the Slow Food Foundation has produced Cafendario, a small handbook explaining the main principles of high quality coffee production in a simple and succinct way.
The booklet is illustrated with photos and drawings to effectively communicate how to begin the process of production and market eco-friendly coffee with respect for the environment and communities.
The booklet has been published in Spanish and distributed to coffee producers joining the project.

The Cafendario can be downloaded from the Foundation website.

The Cafendario has been realized within the activities of the Program CaféyCaffè. Regional Network for the Support of Small Coffee Producers of the Central American and Caribbean Region. The Program is financed by the Italian Government through the Director General for Development Cooperation at the Italian Foreign Ministry and through the of Florence, with the participation of the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity and the Tuscan NGO UCODEP.
